Outstanding New Professional Award
(Nomination Criteria)
 

§          Meritorious service in area(s) of student affairs, student development and/or higher education for a minimum of two (2) years and a maximum of five (5 years).

§           Demonstrated competence in administration and/or in teaching/research.
§          Effective, innovative response to the varied and emerging needs of students.
§          Leadership in community and college/university affairs.
§          Active participation/leadership in the Iowa Student Personnel Association and/or in other professional organizations.
§          Outstanding potential as a student affairs/student development/higher education professional.
 
Outstanding Service Award
(Nomination Criteria)
 

§          This award is presented to a member of the Iowa Student Personnel Association who has demonstrated outstanding participation/leadership in furthering the goals and objectives of ISPA.

  
Distinguished Service Award
(Nomination Criteria)
 

§          Long and meritorious service in the areas of student affairs, student development, and/or in higher education for a minimum of six (6) years.

§          High level of administrative and/or teaching/research competence.
§          High stature among and strong support of students, faculty and administrators on his /her own campus.
§          Effective development of junior staff members and/or of graduate students.
§          Significant contributions to the field through teaching, research, publication and/or presentations at professional meetings.
§          Leadership in community and college/university affairs.
§          Effective, innovative response to the varied and emerging needs of students.
§          Leadership in the Iowa Student Personnel Association and/or in other professional organizations.
  
Graduate Student Rising Star Award
(Nomination Criteria)
 

§          Students must be pursuing a masters or doctoral degree related to student affairs with the intent of pursuing a career in student affairs.

§          Excellence in the classroom.
§          Leadership and innovation in the internship/cooperative experience; and potential for significant contributions to the
